Permira Debt Managers (PDM) is acting as sole lender in the refinancing of Away Resorts’ existing debt.
PDM’s support will also enable Away Resorts to acquire its sixth park, Sandy Balls, based in the New Forest.
In addition to the refinancing, PDM funds have also provided a capex facility to enable Away Resorts – a portfolio company of private equity firm LDC – to continue improving and expanding the range of facilities and accommodation provided across its six resorts.
Founded in 2007, Away Resorts owns and manages holiday resorts across the UK in locations such as the Isle
Hamburg-based CEE Group is to acquire the Gollenberg wind farm currently under construction in Rheinland-Pfalz from juwi Energieprojekte, the company that is also responsible for the construction stage as general contractor.
The wind farm comprises six Vesta V126 turbines. The hub height is 137 m, the rotor diameter is 126 m and the wind farm’s total capacity amounts to 19.8 megawatts (MW).
After commissioning, the turbines will supply environmentally friendly power to about 15,000 households each year.
The wind farm is expected to be fully connected to the grid at the end of January 2017.

PyroGenesis Canada, a clean-tech company that designs, develops, manufactures and commercialises plasma waste-to-energy systems and plasma torch products, has signed two additional military contracts totalling approximately USD1.2 million (CAD1.6 million).
As of 30 June 2016, total military contracts signed now exceed USD3.7 million (CAD5 million).
The military contracts are all expected to be completed by the end of Q2 2017.

Private equity firm Calera Capital has acquired a majority stake in Carnegie Fabrics, a family-owned supplier and innovator of sustainable textiles and wallcoverings for the corporate, healthcare, hospitality and education building markets.
Cliff Goldman, Carnegie’s president, will retain a significant equity interest in the business. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Private equity fund manager and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and venture capital trust (VCT) specialist Calculus Capital has invested GBP3 million in Origin Broadband, a provider of internet and phone services.
Since launch in 2011, Origin has developed its own infrastructure and now has the sixth largest broadband network in the UK based on premises passed.
The investment by Calculus will allow Origin to hire new staff and will be primarily used to expand its sales team to develop new business across the UK.

Influencer marketing platform Buzzoole has raised USD830,000 through a convertible note funding, led by international venture fund Impulse VC with co-investment from Swiss technology venture firm R301 Capital.
The investment has potential to double within 18 months (up to USD1.6 million) and draw further investors.
