Livingstone has advised the shareholders of ENRA Group, including Livingbridge, on its sale to Exponent Private Equity.
ENRA Group is a provider of mortgage finance.
This is the fourth transaction the Livingstone team has advised ENRA on, previously introducing exiting chairman David Campbell on his investment in 2013, raising growth capital from Livingbridge in 2014 and its subsequent acquisition of West One Loans, also in 2014.
ENRA lends and brokers short-term bridge mortgages as well as distributing specialist second charge and buy-to-let products. The business has enjoyed strong growth on the back of its bespoke manual underwriting process
Despite the uncertainty created by the UK’s Brexit vote, the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region is showing the strongest growth globally in early-stage merger and acquisition (M&A) activity at 13 per cent compared to the same period last year.
This is according to the latest Intralinks Deal Flow Predictor report released by Intralinks Holdings.

AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets has completed, on behalf of AXA Germany and AXA France, and in joint venture with Crédit Agricole Assurances, the acquisition of a 42 per cent stake in Atlandes, the concession-holder of the A63 motorway in South-West France.
The vendor, InfraRed Capital Partners, an investment manager in Infrastructure and Real Estate, acting on behalf of InfraRed Infrastructure Fund III, has disposed of the entirety of the fund’s stake.
The remaining 58 per cent of Atlandes is held by a consortium of industrial partners and financial investors.

The World Bank Group and Ithmar Capital, a Moroccan sovereign investment fund, are to establish a Green Growth Infrastructure Facility for Africa (GGIF), the first pan-African fund dedicated to green investment in the continent.

FFL Partners, a private equity firm focused on growth investments in middle market companies, is to acquire Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) from Brockway Moran & Partners.
CPI specialises in crisis prevention, non-violent physical intervention and dementia care training for education, healthcare and corporate customers. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.
Headquartered in Milwaukee, CPI provides mission critical training in de-escalation of aggressive behaviours for duty of care providers at schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, long-term care facilities, juvenile detention centres, and other organisations.

The Buy & Build Monitor, which tracks global add-on activity undertaken by European headquartered companies backed by private equity, identified a provisional total of 325 add-ons in the first half of 2016 compared to the 204 and 250 add-ons recorded in the first and second halves of 2015 respectively.

Baird Capital has sold its portfolio company Watkins Hire to Carrier Rental Systems (UK).
The terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1998, Watkins is a provider of industrial and commercial heating and cooling equipment rental services. Watkins supplies heaters, steam and water boilers, fuel tanks, dehumidifiers, air handlers, air conditioning and chillers to a wide variety of blue chip clients. The company also has a dedicated events division, providing equipment rental at UK and international major events, including the 2012 London Olympics.

Seedrs alumnus FreeAgent has floated on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM, marking the first time an equity crowdfunded company has gone on to IPO.
This announcement comes directly after Beauhurst announced that Seedrs has completed 122 deals in private companies by the end of Q3. This is more than any other investor during the period, according to a report released by the independent research firm.
More than GBP160 million has now been invested into campaigns on Seedrs since July 2012 when the company launched and October became a record-breaking month with almost GBP20 million invested into campaigns.

Kirkland & Ellis has advised EMR Capital, a mining private equity manager, on the closing of the oversubscribed EMR Capital Resources Fund II with commitments of USD860 million.
The fund, which will make investments in global metals and mining companies and projects, accepted commitments from a broad mix of global institutional investors, including endowments, foundations, family offices and fund of funds.
The Kirkland team was led by London-based investment funds partner Christopher Braunack, investment funds associates Jennifer Feng, Holly Clarke, Feni Ajumogobia and David Pritchett and New York-based tax partner David Grenker.
