Boutique asset manager Unigestion has held the first close of its fourth dedicated private equity secondaries fund, Unigestion Secondaries Opportunities IV (USO IV). The fund represents a continuation of the secondaries strategy that Unigestion has deployed since 2000.   USO IV has now received commitments in excess of EUR177 million, which is almost 60 per cent of the fund’s target size. HIG Europe, the European arm of global private equity firm HIG Capital, is to sell the International School of Europe Group (ISE). Closing of the transaction is expected in mid-September 2016. Terms have not been disclosed.

Funds managed by Alpina Partners have acquired Cimdata from Infoniqa Holding and iLab24. Cimdata will now become part of a larger group of enterprise software businesses focusing on enterprise resource planning (ERP).   Alpina has previously acquired a majority stake in Oxaion, an ERP software company based in Ettlingen, Germany.   Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   “We are happy to welcome Cimdata as new member of our software buy-and-build platform. The company is a well-respected supplier of specialised ERP software solutions with a clear focus on the manufacturing industry,” says Florian Strehle, partner at Alpina Partners.
BioLineRx, a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to identifying, in-licensing and developing new drugs, has established a joint venture (JV) with I-Bridge Capital, a Chinese venture capital fund focused on developing new therapies. The joint venture, named iPharma, will develop clinical and pre-clinical therapeutic candidates originating primarily in Israel to serve the Chinese and global healthcare markets.   Under the terms of the JV agreement, each partner will provide seed capital of one million dollars to the venture.
