Leonard Green & Partners (LGP) has closed the firm’s seventh private equity investment fund, Green Equity Investors VII (GEI VII), with committed capital of USD9.6 billion.
GEI VII exceeded its target and closed at its hard cap of USD9.1 billion in third-party investor commitments along with a USD500 million commitment from the Partners of the firm.

IK Investment Partners’ (IK) IK Small Cap I Fund has acquired a significant minority stake in B2S Group (B2S), a French player in the outsourcing of customer services management.
IK Funds will invest alongside Maxime Didier, founder and majority shareholder of the Group. Financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
B2S Group offers an extensive portfolio of customer experience services, including consulting, telesales, customer services, debt collection and technical assistance, to a large client base. The purpose of this programme is to accelerate the development of the most promising start-ups by providing them with a complete array of media and marketing services: global communication levers, media coaching, events, networking through the international network of Euronews and Africanews, media for revenue or even media for equity.

New York-based private equity firm Bregal Sagemount has made a significant growth investment in Steele Compliance Solutions the parent company of the Steele CIS and Securimate businesses.
The two companies are providers of third party management software and due diligence investigation services focused on the anti-bribery and anti-corruption (ABAC) compliance market, including The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977 (FCPA).
As a part of the transaction, the Company announced that founder Kenneth Kurtz will be promoted to the Chairman of the Advisory Board, and that Eric Lochner has been appointed CEO.

Perusa Partners Fund 2, has sold Swedish SEM Group to Procuritas Capital Investors V LP. Perusa Partners acquired SEM in 2012 and over the last three years has seen the company increase its revenues by 30 per cent to circa EUR35 million while doubling its profits to circa EUR8 million.
Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Centaur Ventures, the mining and natural resources investment arm of investment holding company Centaur Holdings Ltd, has signed a USD100 million revolving credit facility with a UAE based private family office.
The funds will be used to expand the mining and natural resources projects of Centaur Mining predominantly in South Africa. Centaur’s Mining arm, which is based in South Africa, have received reserve bank approval for ZAR1.5 billion for the funds to be deployed in South Africa.
The deal, which was agreed at a 4 per cent coupon, will see Centaur’s Asset Management arm serve as the advisor to

Digital financial services investment and advisory firm Anthemis Group, and Exponential Ventures, the newly formed disruptive innovation and venture capital arm of MMI Holdings, have launched a global investment partnership that will invest in early stage financial wellness companies. MMI has provided the initial EUR30 million commitment while leaving room for other likeminded firms to join the initiative.

IGF Asset Based Lending (ABL) has facilitated the management buy-out (MBO) for Testing Solutions Group (TSG), with a GBP1.5million deal. The three-year facility, will be used for the acquisition and to provide ongoing working capital.
Established in 2002, TSG is a specialist software testing company that was formed to help ensure successful business outcomes for clients’ IT systems. The company provides assurance and testing solutions, certified and practical training and recruitment services, predominantly in financial services and law.
