Growth equity and venture capital firm North Bridge has promoted Won Park to Principal and made two new additions to the firm’s growth equity investment team – Chris Cavanagh as Principal and Brendan Gibney as Vice President.

Private equity firm Livingbridge has completed a minority investment in procurement specialist Efficio.
Founded 15 years ago, Efficio works with clients across the world to help them achieve breakthrough results in their procurement functions. With revenues of over £30m, the firm achieves sustainable results for its clients by helping them to identify, deliver and sustain benefits in procurement. Efficio currently has around 250 employees based in offices in Europe and North America as well as its London headquarters.

Ardian portfolio company Italmatch Chemicals Group is to acquire Solvay’s desalination and phosphonates and phosphonic acid-based water additives business.
The transaction, which is consistent with Italmatch Chemicals Group’s growth strategy, is designed to strengthens the company’s position as a global supplier of water management additives, traded under the Dequest brand name.
The acquisition covers all products, trademarks, patents and client portfolio from the division of the Belgian chemicals group, which boasts a 30-year experience in phosphonate-based technology as well as other chemistries. It comes one year after Italmatch’s takeover of Naples-based GRS Chemical Technologies, a centre of excellence for
EmployerDirect Healthcare announced the closing of its Series C investment round with Dallas-based Dundon Capital Partners. Under the terms of the investment, Dundon Capital Partners has acquired a majority ownership position in the business.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Daytime hotel booking platform, Dayuse.com has closed a EUR15 million Series A investment round, in what is the largest European startup series A investment round of 2015.
The Paris-based company, which enables people to book a hotel room for a few hours during the daytime, has taken investment from renowned venture capital firms Idinvest Partners and Partech Ventures, with contributions from the startup's historical angel investors Paul Dubrule (Co-founder, Accor Group), Cédric Barbier (Founder, Lesjeudis.com) and Charles Petruccelli (Former President, American Express Travel).

International investment bank Altium has completed 54 consumer deals worth in excess of GBP8.5 billion over the last five years.
The firm has enjoyed a buoyant 2015, completing 13 deals in the sector, including two of its largest-ever transactions. Skyscanner, has secured a combined GBP128 million from five new investors. The deal includes both primary and secondary proceeds and sees the incoming investors acquire an undisclosed share of the travel search engine.
The primary investment in Skyscanner will support the company’s strategy and accelerate its rapid growth in the GBP332 billion (USD500 billion) online travel market.
In addition, it expands Skyscanner’s access to additional sources of expertise and different virtual and geographic marketplaces around the world. Artemis, Baillie Gifford, Khazanah, Vitruvian Partners and Yahoo! JAPAN now join SEP and Sequoia as the company’s investment partners.

Private equity firm Nautic Partners has successfully completed its fund raising for Nautic Partners VIII, which closed on its hard cap of USD900 million.
Nautic began formal fund raising in October 2015 and raised its cap to USD900 million after receiving strong demand from both new and existing investors.
