Quantum Workplace, a provider of employee engagement and performance software, has secured an investment from private equity firm, LLR Partners. The partnership is expected to help accelerate the Company’s growth through continued investment in its industry-leading software platform and sales and marketing engine, as well as in the exploration of strategic acquisition opportunities. Quantum Workplace will also advance its data science-based analytics and people-focused intelligence solutions.
Livingbridge, a UK mid-market private equity investor, has agreed the sale of Carousel Logistics to Danish private equity firm Axcel. The transaction will facilitate the combination of Carousel Logistics and DANX A/S, a Danish-headquartered logistics firm servicing the Nordic region and the Baltics.   Founded in 1986 by former CEO Graham Martin and Michael Martin, Carousel Logistics has grown into a pan-European logistics specialist delivering aftermarket solutions to organisations in performance and life-critical industries. It is headquartered in the UK, with offices across the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, and has 213 employees.    Livingbridge first invested in Carousel Logistics in
Griffin Real Estate has rebranded as Griffin Capital Partners to better reflect its position as a specialist in both private equity and real estate. By changing its name and revising its visual identity, the company wants to highlight the shift to private equity that has taken place in Griffin’s investment strategy over the last years. The change also reflects and emphasizes the strong operational capacities of its team of top-class experts, not only in the area of real estate but also that of private equity.
eternalHealth, the first new health plan to be approved in Massachusetts since 2013, has raised another USD10 million in Series A funding. This additional financing follows an initial USD10 million in Seed and Pre-Series A investment by successful healthcare and tech entrepreneurs last summer. John Sculley, former Apple CEO, is involved in the Series A funding round and believes in the mission of eternalHealth, which is founded by Pooja Ika, the first woman at the age of 24 to launch a new Medicare Advantage Health Plan in the United States.
Bluon, a specialist in the HVAC-R space, has closed its Series B round with USD27.6 million in equity financing, adding to the USD9 million in already raised in venture debt. The round was led by Bluon’s existing primary capital partner, Ecosystem Integrity Fund (EIF), and included significant participation from MacKinnon, Bennett & Company (MKB), a Canadian growth equity firm investing in innovative companies shaping the future of energy and transportation sectors. Notably, the round also included participation from two significant HVAC industry players – Ferguson and Reece through their venture arms – Ferguson Ventures and Superseed Ventures, respectively.
Audax Private Equity (Audax) has acquired a controlling interest in Centerline Communications (Centerline), a professional services organisation focused on the design, build, and maintenance of wireless and wireline network infrastructure from Wincove Private Holdings (Wincov) and Stone-Goff Partners (Stone-Goff). Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Josh Delman, Founder and CEO of Centerline, will continue to lead the company alongside the existing management team. Josh and Wincove will maintain minority ownership positions in the company alongside Audax.
Tikehau Capital has signed a USD41 million private bond agreement with Asacha Media Group (AMG). Asacha Media Group is a European content creation, production and distribution business, founded in April 2020 by Gaspard de Chavagnac, Marina Williams and Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, with the support of funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management (Oaktree). In just two years, with the support of Oaktree, AMG’s management team have successfully positioned the company as a key player in the European audiovisual production and distribution market. AMG now intends to pursue its ambitious growth plan, notably by targeting future acquisitions in Europe.
Constant Contact, a digital marketing platform backed by Clearlake Capital and Siris Capital, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Vision6. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2022, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Shanghai ZhenGe Biotech has completed a USD100 million series C financing round led by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Sofina. Novo Holdings A/S, Qiming Venture Capital, IDG Capital, LYFE Capital, Junxin Capital and Cowin Capital, also invested in the round with proceeds set to be used to strengthen ZhenGe Biotech’s global R & D capabilities and expand its Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) manufacturing capacity to better meet demand from domestic and international clients. To date, the Company has raised a total of USD225 million.
National Fire & Safety (NFS), an end-to-end fire protection and life safety solutions platform and a portfolio company of Highview Capital (Highview), has acquired Commercial Fire Protection (CFP), a tech-enabled fire and life safety service platform headquartered in California. CFP provides NFS with a scaled entry point into attractive new geographies and represents NFS’ largest strategic add-on to date.   CFP Founder and CEO Dave Edwards will be a significant minority shareholder in National Fire & Safety and continue to lead CFP’s operations.
