Swander Pace Capital (SPC) has sold over-the-counter (OTC) products portfolio company Insight Pharmaceuticals to Prestige Brands Holdings for USD750 million.
The sale of Insight represents the firm’s second platform investment in the OTC industry.

Enterprise Finance has acquired bridging lender West One Loans in a transaction funded by a combination of cash and equity.
Enterprise Finance is a specialist distributor focused on secured loans, bridging finance and commercial mortgages. It is backed by ISIS Equity Partners, which currently has GBP1.2bn of funds under management.
The two businesses, which are based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, are to be integrated in the near future with both companies moving to a new, larger headquarters in the local area.

ECI Partners has held the final closing for its 10th buyout fund, ECI 10, at the hard cap of GBP500m.
ECI launched its latest fundraising in early April 2014 with a target fund size of GBP400m.
The fund was raised predominantly from its existing institutional investors, who have contributed 80 per cent of the capital, with an average increase on prior commitments of 33 per cent. There were also five new investors.

European Capital Debt Management (ECDM) has closed its new GBP100 million fund, European Capital UK SME Debt LP, a fund to provide debt finance in small and medium sized enterprises in the UK.
The fund will invest in businesses with a turnover of up to GBP100 million.
The British Business Bank is committing GBP50 million to the fund under the British Business Bank Investment Programme.
The remaining GBP50 million is being committed by European Capital Limited and its affiliates.

Private equity firm Keensight Capital is in negotiations with Reed Elsevier for the sale of FircoSoft, a specialist in watch list filtering solutions.
The proposed transaction is expected to be concluded in the coming weeks, pending the completion of a consultation with the works council of FircoSoft.
Created in 1990 and based in Paris, FircoSoft provides software solutions which allow its clients to filter financial transactions against sanctions and watch lists in order to ensure compliance with existing regulations while meeting Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

The Chiesi Group has launched a venture capital fund, Chiesi Ventures, via a collaboration with A M Pappas & Associates.
Chiesi Ventures will complement the strategic interest of the Chiesi Group in the area of rare diseases by investing in early stage opportunities and expanding the Chiesi network in the US among universities, venture capital investors, rare disease patient organisations and entrepreneurial companies developing treatments for rare diseases.

DN Capital has raised USD200 million (EUR144 million) for its third venture capital fund, GVC III, a three time increase on its previous fund.
The fund is dedicated to investing in early and growth stage companies in northern Europe, particularly the UK, Germany, and the Nordics with an allocation for US companies expanding into Europe.

Glennmont Partners has closed its second fund, Clean Energy Fund II, having raised EUR500 million, the maximum amount permitted, exceeding its target of EUR450 million.
The life of the fund is ten years and the fundraising has been supported both by existing and new investors, including the European Investment Bank (EIB) which invested EUR50 million, the single largest clean energy equity investment it made in 2013.
With its second fund, Glennmont has attracted capital from new territories and now has investors in its funds based across Europe, the US, the Middle East and Asia.

New York-based private equity fund Monomoy Capital Partners II is to acquire all of the outstanding shares of common stock of Cobra Electronics, a designer and marketer of mobile communications and navigation products, at USD4.30 per share in cash.
Under the terms of the agreement, an affiliate of Monomoy will commence a tender offer to purchase all outstanding shares of common stock of Cobra Electronics at a price of USD4.30 per share in cash within ten business days.
