The Riverside Company, a global private equity firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has signed a definitive agreement with GTCR to sell Lexipol, a provider of policy management, training and wellness software for public safety organisations and local government customers. The proposed transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

Fleetpool, a German specialist in car subscriptions, and international mobility provider ALD, are joining forces. The two companies have agreed the 100 per cent acquisition of the Fleetpool Group by ALD, including its fleet of more than 10,000 vehicles.
The union is a true win-win situation for both parties. ALD will soon be able to offer digital car subscription services to its customers across Europe – including business and private customers. This enables ALD to service this major trend in the mobility sector, which is forecast to account for up to 20 per cent of vehicle sales within this decade.
Aceleron – the UK sustainable battery technology company – has raised a further GBP2.5 million as it continues to expand its global sales.
The latest funding has come from existing investors BGF, the MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund, which is managed by Mercia and part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund, and Mercia’s EIS funds. It brings the total raised by the company so far to GBP5.4 million.
The funding will enable Birmingham-based Aceleron to build relationships with automotive manufacturers and other major corporates while continuing to enhance its products. Aceleron, which now employs around 25
Apex Group Ltd (Apex or The Group), a global financial services provider, has closed of the acquisition of ARM Swiss Representatives SA (ASR), following regulatory approval from FINMA.
ASR, a provider of Swiss Representation and Distribution services to foreign fund managers will now operate under the Apex sub-brand, FundRock, strengthening the Group’s local presence in Switzerland.
As part of FundRock, ASR will continue to provide compliance and regulatory services to over 630 funds and 350 fund managers internationally, seeking to market their funds in Switzerland in full compliance with local laws. ASR brings an additional 12 fund manager clients for

Ridgemont Equity Partners, a buyout and growth equity investor, today announced a significant minority investment alongside The Rise Fund, TPG’s multi-sector global impact investing strategy, to facilitate the acquisition of Teachers of Tomorrow (ToT).
The Rise Fund announced a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in ToT in early September and subsequently joined forces with Ridgemont Equity Partners, a value-added growth partner for the Company. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Global venture capital firm Antler has closed over USD300 million to date, allowing it an opportunity to provide continued support to its companies in subsequent funding rounds.
Investors in the funds include Schroders, Vækstfonden, and Phoenix Group.
