Buyout specialist Kester Capital (Kester), has invested in Rephine, a provider of Good Manufacturing/Clinical Practice (GMP/GCP) audits and regulatory consulting services to the pharmaceutical industry.
The investment represents Kester’s fourth investment in the Life Sciences sector, and the fourth investment out of its latest fund, Kester Capital II, which closed at its hard cap in August 2020. It also comes at a time of significant positive momentum for Kester, which recently exited Frontier Medical (netting a 3.4x return for its investors), completed two bolt-on acquisitions, and made two hires into its investment team.

The acquisition of Ideal Cures underscores the importance of India in the pharmaceutical sector by providing an expanded service network of manufacturing and technical capabilities, especially for the remotely located economic zones in North India.

Eclipse provides a comprehensive suite of labour services for warehouses and distribution centres that increase supply chain productivity and efficiency. Eclipse was a portfolio company of Longshore Capital Partners, a Chicago-based lower middle-market private equity firm. Two Sigma Impact is the impact investing business of Two Sigma.

Arctos Sports Partners (Arctos), a private investment platform dedicated to providing growth capital and liquidity solutions to professional sports franchise owners in major North American leagues and European soccer, has raised more than USD2.1 billion for its first flagship fund.
The fund complex, Arctos Sports Partners Fund I, along with co-investors and parallel affiliated vehicles, closed with more than USD3.0 billion in Regulatory Assets Under Management from a large, diverse group of global institutional investors. Arctos, which launched in April 2020, has already closed 14 investments into the fund, including ownership stakes in Fenway Sports Group, the Golden State Warriors
Abalos Therapeutics has completed its Series A funding round bringing the total raised in this round to EUR43 million (USD50 million).

Groove plans to use the funding to expand its international operations and accelerate its momentum in the enterprise segment of the market, having grown enterprise ARR 114 per cent in the past twelve months with new customers that include Activision, iHeartMedia, LexisNexis, New Relic, TIBCO, Veeva, and Wintrust.
