Eurazeo has launched O+, an ESG initiative which the company says will promote the drive towards low carbon and a more inclusive economy, in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
O+ has two main pillars: achieving zero net carbon by 2040 at the latest and playing a role in bridging the widening social gaps.
The aim is to accelerate the transition to a low carbon economy and committing to zero net carbon across the group by 2040, in alignment with the UN’s Science Based Targets initiative.

An affiliate of private investment firm Sun Capital Partners (Sun Capital), has made an investment in Mancini’s Sleepworld (Mancini’s” or “the Company”), a mattress retailer serving the Northern California market. Terms of the private transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded by the Mancini family in 1969, Mancini’s Sleepworld sells leading brand mattresses and other sleep products such as adjustable bed frames. Cornerstone Brands has completed its acquisition of FXPress Payment Services Ltd (FXPress) following consent from the FCA. FXPress, a regulated Authorised Payment Institution providing cross-border payment services, is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cornerstone.

The nature of Israel’s legal system, the availability of local financing, and expanding numbers of tech-based targets helped the country post its best first-half deal figures in over a decade, according to Pitchbook’s 2020 Israel Private Capital Breakdown report.

Stirling Square Capital Partners (Stirling Square), a pan-European mid-market private equity firm, has made an additional investment in portfolio company DOCU Nordic Group Holdings AB (DOCU Nordic) in partnership with TA Associates. TA Associates will acquire a significant minority stake in the Company from Stirling Square’s Third Fund alongside Stirling Square’s Fourth Fund, which becomes the majority shareholder in DOCU Nordic.

Fintech company, Growth Capital Ventures (GCV), has secured GBP1 million of growth capital from institutional investors to continue its expansion and fast-track the growth of Britain’s burgeoning tech sector. GCV has now opened up the investment round to new private investors via its online investment platform – growthfunders.com
Investment from the current round will enable GCV to support 30 high-growth start-ups and create hundreds of new tech jobs within the North East through its venture builder unit, G-Labs. It will also enable GCV to increase internal headcount from 22 to 40 in the next 12-24 months.

Stemson aims to restore human hair growth with a novel approach using the patient’s own cells to generate new hair follicles. Allergan Aesthetics is a world leading medical aesthetics company. Fortunis Capital, a London-based venture capital firm is committed to continuing support of Stemson’s regenerative cell therapy to treat hair loss. Fortunis Capital’s new Impact Fund intends to invest in companies, such as Stemson, which offer significant social or environmental benefit.
