Nautic Partners (Nautic) has completed the acquisition of Harrington Industrial Plastics (Harrington), in partnership with company management.Founded in 1959, Harrington is a leading distributor of corrosion-resistant fluid conveyance, control, and measurement products for industrial fluids and high purity applications (eg, valves, filters, pumps, and tanks). Harrington’s products are used in a variety of end markets, and the company focuses on corrosive applications that generally require higher end specialty products. The company is a vital supply chain partner to its vendors and serves a diverse set of customers including contractors, OEMs and other product end users across a number of markets
The Columbia Threadneedle European Sustainable Infrastructure Fund (ESIF) announces that it has completed the acquisition of Condor Ferries, an operator of lifeline freight and passenger ferry services between Guernsey, Jersey, the United Kingdom, and the Port of St Malo in France.The acquisition was made in consortium with Brittany Ferries, a leading French ferry operator, which has a minority stake. Condor Ferries has been acquired from Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund II, managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets.

The UK Creative Content EIS Fund has invested in Raindog Films, a UK-based production company co-founded by Oscar-winning actor Colin Firth and music industry veteran Ged Doherty, it has been announced by the Fund’s manager, Calculus Capital, and Stargrove Pictures. Writer and producer, Trish D Chetty joins the new look company to oversee the strategic expansion into high-end small screen content.

Property technology company Goodlord, which provides software and services to transform how people rent, has been backed by some of the UK’s most respected investors in a GBP10 million Series B round.Goodlord has raised GBP10 million from investors including Latitude Ventures, the Series B+ sister fund to LocalGlobe known for backing scaling European success stories such as Transferwise, Zoopla, Monzo, TravelPerk, and SecretEscapes. This round was also backed by Finch Capital, leaders in the European fintech space, and welcomed Oxx as a new investor. Shoreline Equity Partners (Shoreline), a purpose-driven lower middle market private equity firm, has partnered with management to acquire Engelman Baking Company (Engelman’s).Engelman’s is a wholesale bakery offering a complete line of artisan breads and rolls ranging from European and hearth breads, Kaiser and twisted egg rolls to specialty dinner rolls and hand-crafted hamburger and hot dog buns. Five, a UK-based, self-driving company, has raised USD41 million in a Series B round of equity funding. New investors are Trustbridge Partners, Direct Line Group and Sistema VC. Existing investors Lakestar, Amadeus Capital Partners, Kindred Capital and Notion Capital also participated in the round, which makes Five one of Europe’s best-funded self-driving startups, with USD77 million raised to date.
