An affiliate of middle market private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners (One Rock) has acquired Innophos Holdings (Innophos) an international producer of essential ingredients.In conjunction with the completion of the transaction, Richard Hooper has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Innophos, effective immediately. Hooper is an industry veteran with 40 years of specialty materials experience.

Kian Capital Partners (Kian), a middle-market focused private investment firm, has sold its portfolio company, Empire Group (Empire) to PNC Riverarch Capital (PNC Riverarch). Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.Headquartered in Raleigh, NC, Empire is a wholesale distributor of commercial foodservice equipment and genuine OEM parts into diverse markets, including foodservice equipment dealers, service organizations, buying groups and national chain accounts. Corfin Industries has announced a strategic combination with Micross Components, a provider of mission-critical microelectronic components and services for high-reliability markets, as part of a transaction led by Corfin’s current majority shareholder Behrman Capital. Busy Bees, a multinational childcare provider, has acquired EduKids, an early childhood education and care centre operator with 15 locations in Western New York. The deal, which closed on 31 Friday January, follows the acquisition by Busy Bees of Educational Playcare’s 19 centres across Connecticut in August 2019. This expands Busy Bees’ North American presence to 34 centres across the states of New York and Connecticut and 89 centres in Canada.
