Ancala Partners (Ancala) has held the final close of Ancala Infrastructure Fund II, which is focused on investing in a portfolio of mid-sized infrastructure businesses across Europe. The fund raised EUR735 million, which exceeds the EUR600 million target that Ancala set in mid-2018.Ancala also expects to deploy capital through co-investment from fund LPs with a view to investing over EUR1 billion through the Fund.

Private equity firm Ecosystem Investment Partners (EIP), a leading private equity firm, has held the final close of Ecosystem Investment Partners IV, (EIP IV). The fund was oversubscribed closing at its hard cap of USD454.5 million. Monument Group, one of the industry’s leading placement agents, served as global placement agent again on the raising of the fund, which was oversubscribed, exceeding its target in less than 10 months. Consistent with EIP’s prior funds’ investment strategy, EIP will continue investing in large-scale wetland, stream and habitat mitigation and restoration projects in the US through EIP IV.

AURELIUS Equity Opportunities is to acquire the Renewable Power Systems (RPS Business) as well as the protection relays business, from Woodward, Inc. With over 400 employees, the combined businesses generated sales of approximately USD 80 million in financial year 2019. The closing of the transaction is subject to customary closing conditions including antitrust approval and is anticipated to occur in the next months.

The latest Enterprise Software M&A market report from Hampleton Partners, an international technology mergers and acquisitions adviser, reveals that transaction volumes decreased slightly to 620 deals inked in the second half of 2019, but revenue and EBITDA multiples remained astoundingly high at 4.0x and 17.3x respectively.
