Albion Capital has closed its 2019/2020 VCT top up offers earlier than scheduled after existing and new shareholder support resulted in full subscriptions totalling GBP34 million. Five trusts in Albion’s VCT range announced their fundraising offers in October.

The fundraising targeted varying amounts for each trust as a result of different levels of exposure to substantial exits across 2019. The fundraising targets were: GBP10m for Kings Arms Yard VCT PLC, GBP8 million for Albion Development VCT PLC, GBP6 million for both Albion Enterprise VCT PLC and Albion Venture Capital Trust PLC, and GBP4 million for Crown Place VCT PLC.   The

Social and Sustainable Capital (SASC), the award-winning UK fund manager and social enterprise, has invested GBP2.5 million from its Social and Sustainable Housing (SASH) fund into Valley House, a charity that supports vulnerable young parents and victims of domestic abuse in and around Coventry.This is SASC’s 4th investment from its SASH fund, which has so far committed over GBP16 million. Elder Ltd has raised another GBP8.2 million funding round as its technology-enabled live-in care service gains nationwide popularity, bringing the total raised to GBP16.5 million. The round was led by Acton Capital, a leading growth venture capital investor from Munich, Germany and participated by existing investors.
