The Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) Debt Finance, managed by Maven Capital Partners (Maven), has provided EarthSense Systems Limited (EarthSense), air quality monitoring and modelling data firm, with a GBP100,000 loan. Mmid-market private equity investor LDC has supported the secondary buyout of precision engineering specialist ELE Advanced Technologies (ELE) from Albion Capital and Maven Capital Partners. Headquartered in Colne, Lancashire, ELE is a leading manufacturer of specialist components for aerospace, industrial gas turbines, and commercial diesel sectors, with its clients including Rolls-Royce, Safran, Siemens, GE Avio, GE Power and MAN Diesel & Turbo.   ELE’s precision engineering capabilities enable it to produce complex parts for turbine blades, vanes and compressor blades, and it also supplies turbo charger components to the automotive sector from its manufacturing plant in Trencin, Slovakia.   In
Private equity firm Horizon Capital’s USD370 million EEGF II fund has sold the remaining 22.7 per cent stake held in Purcari Wineries (Purcari) after successfully listing the company on the Bucharest Stock Exchange last year. Glennmont Partners has completed the sale of Gruig (25MW) and Todmorden Moor (12.5MW) wind farms to Foresight Group, a leading global infrastructure and private equity investment manager. The announcement follows Glennmont’s sale of Gortahile wind farm to Greencoat Renewables PLC, which was completed earlier this month. The sale of the three wind farms means that Glennmont has now divested their portfolio of UK and Irish wind assets.   The Gruig wind farm, located in Ballymena, Northern Ireland, began generating in 2009 and comprises 10 Nordex N80/2500kW turbines. Deepbridge Capital, a tax-efficient investment manager and Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) provider, has exited its holding in iPipeline Holdings, with iPipeline being acquired by Florida tech-holding firm, Roper Technologies, for USD1.63 billion. iPipeline is a provider of cloud-based software solutions to customers in the financial services and life industry.   Deepbridge was the initial EIS investor in Resonant Software Inc. which subsequently merged with iPipeline Holdings Inc. in 2017.   Deepbridge’s investors in Resonant Software Inc., and subsequently iPipeline Holdings Inc., will receive a return on investment of up to 3x.   Ian Warwick, Managing Partner at Deepbridge Capital, says:
