Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP, a leading international law firm, announced that Garrett Hayes (pictured) has joined the London office of international law firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker, enhancing the firm’s M&A and private equity practice in London. Garrett joins the firm from Macfarlanes where he has been a partner since 2005.
Haye’s expertise covers a broad range of general corporate work, M&A and private equity and in particular he has acted for private equity sponsors and portfolio companies on leveraged buyouts, restructurings and auction sale processes. He has also advised management on a number of high profile transactions.
The appointment of Hayes continues the expansion of the firm’s global private equity practice, following the addition of five partners in Paris earlier this year and four partners in the firm’s Chicago office in 2010.
Ronan O’Sullivan, Chair of the London office, says: “The growth of the London corporate practice remains a central strategy for our firm. Garrett’s experience in the private equity market coupled with the strength of our international footprint provides a great opportunity for us as our practice continues to grow in London and Europe.”
The London corporate practice recently represented Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., a multinational engineering consultancy and Fortune 500 company, on the USUSD913 million acquisition of the process and construction business of Oslo listed Aker Solutions ASA.
