Genstar Capital names David Golde and Brett Shobe senior associates

Genstar Capital, a middle market private equity firm that focuses on investments in the life sciences, healthcare, financial services, software and industrial technology industries, has appointed David J. Golde and Brett J. Shobe as senior associates.

They will help the firm identify, evaluate and execute acquisition and investment opportunities.

"We continue to strengthen our existing team of talented professionals and are pleased that David and Brett have joined Genstar. As we continue to build on our success as a leading middle market private equity investment firm, they will fit well with the management-centric and entrepreneurial culture of the firm and will add value to Genstar’s rigorous investment process," says Jean-Pierre L. Conte (pictured), chairman and managing director of Genstar.

Golde re-joins Genstar after earning his MBA degree from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. He first joined Genstar in 2006 as an associate, and began his career at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was an investment banking analyst in Palo Alto and Chicago.

Shobe joins Genstar after serving as an associate with private equity and venture capital investment firm Austin Ventures, where he focused on investments in services businesses. Previously, he worked for Goldman Sachs in New York and Houston as an analyst in the mergers and strategic advisory group.
