Henry Robin joins Invesco’s private capital group

Invesco has appointed Henry Robin as a managing director in its fund of funds team.

Robin will be based in Invesco’s New York office where he will join founding partner Phil Shaw as co-head of the private equity fund of funds business.

“It has been over six months since we launched the search for someone to manage the fund of funds business together with Phil,” says Mark Armour, head of Invesco Institutional and senior managing director of Invesco Ltd. “Henry’s experience and skill set make him a perfect fit with the seven investment professionals currently managing the group’s USD1.6bn in assets. I am pleased to welcome Henry to Invesco and believe that, together with the other investment professionals located in New York, London and San Francisco, our fund of funds team is strongly positioned for our investors now and into the future.”

Previously, Robin was a senior partner at North Sea Capital, a Copenhagen-based private equity fund of funds manager that is closely affiliated with Nordea, Scandinavia’s largest financial institution.

Prior to that assignment, Robin was a founding partner and deputy head of AlpInvest Partner’s New York office. He previously held senior positions investing in private equity funds at Credit Suisse First Boston and the MacArthur Foundation.

Theresa Boyd has also rejoined the private capital team as a senior associate, after completing an MBA degree at Oxford University. Boyd joins from Zyoxel, a University of Oxford life sciences spin-out. Prior to business school, she was a product manager for Invesco’s private capital group.
