Huron Capital Partners has announced that Greg Steve has joined the firm as a principal to expand the firm’s growth and late-stage investment activities in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Jersey and New York from Huron’s Pittsburgh-based office.
With over 20 years of experience in the financial sector working with middle market businesses across a variety of industries, Steve will be responsible for driving the firm’s Pittsburgh office efforts to originate, complete and manage investment opportunities in the region.
Huron is an operations-oriented equity investor primarily focused on creating business platforms which can be significantly grown organically and through add-on business acquisitions.
Michael R. Beauregard, a partner at Huron, says: "We are thrilled that Greg is able to join us. Greg is one of the most respected and visible finance professionals in the Pittsburgh marketplace and Pennsylvania in general. His many contacts and relationships with middle market companies and financial intermediaries complement our existing relationships exceptionally well."
Steve adds: "I have known and worked with the team at Huron for many years. The firm is well positioned as a unique equity firm and is one of the most active platform builders in the lower-end of the middle market. I am looking forward to accelerating the firm’s investment and acquisition activities in the region."
Prior to Huron, Steve was a managing director and regional manager at National City Business Credit. He has also held senior level positions with PNC Bank where he was a senior vice president and market manager in their asset based lending group. Steve serves on the Business School advisory Council at IUP and is past president for the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth.
