I Squared Capital is close to acquiring infrastructure safety company Ramudden Global from European private equity firm Triton in a deal valuing the business at around €2.5bn, including debt, according to a report by Bloomberg citing people familiar with the matter.
The transaction could be announced as soon as Wednesday, with final details reportedly still being completed. Ramudden Global employs around 5,000 people across 13 countries, providing temporary traffic management services for infrastructure projects.
The business was built by Triton through a series of acquisitions in the road safety sector, including UK-based Chevron Group and Germany’s AVS Verkehrssicherung. More recent additions include Canada’s RSG International and US-based Curtin Co. Ramudden Global’s turnover has reportedly surpassed €1bn.
I Squared’s investment is expected to support further expansion across North America and Europe.
