European mid-market private equity firm Inflexion is to sell its investment in David Roberts & Partners, a UK insurance broker founded in 1977, to BMS Group, a specialist insurance and reinsurance broker.
DR&P employs almost 400 people across 25 offices in the UK and Europe, handling in excess of £620m for clients.
Inflexion initially invested in DR&P in 2021 and re-invested in 2023 to support further growth of the business.
DR&P’s organic growth rate of 23%, combined with an M&A programme that has seen 14 acquisitions completed in last three years, has generated a tenfold increase in EBITDA over the course of Inflexion’s investment, according to a statement.
Inflexion’s exit of DR&P follows its previous investment in Bollington Wilson, which was sold to US-listed Arthur J Gallagher in 2021 following a merger and five subsequent acquisitions.
