Investment manager Insynergy has appointed Nicola Large as commercial director.
Working closely with chief executive and founder Spike Hughes, Large will have lead responsibility for managing the investment manager’s commercial and financial affairs.
With ten years of financial services experience, she will oversee the evolution of the firm’s developing corporate structure and ensure the highest quality reporting standards.
Large joins Insynergy from emerging markets focused private equity firm Actis, where she was an analyst in the investor development group. Focusing primarily on the African private equity and global infrastructure segments of the business, her responsibilities included the analysis of investment and portfolio performance and the development of the investor base.
She was formerly with Smith & Williamson Corporate Finance and previously an auditor with Barnes Roffe.
“Insynergy is very different from the vast majority of investment firms, and it is a mark of the company’s progress and the undeniable pedigree of the management team that it has already secured agreements with market leading investment management groups in three key markets – namely GAM (China), Odey (Global) and Reliance (India),” says Large. “Spike is hugely ambitious for the business and I look forward to making an active contribution in the firm’s continued progress and expansion.”
Hughes adds: “Corporate structures take time to evolve and we are a young firm. Nevertheless, we have attracted the finest management talent from the outset in the form of James Caan and Jim Roberts. We have assembled a high quality Sales and Marketing team, with Matthew Deeprose leading business development, and we have successfully launched three unique funds, managed by some of the industry’s most legendary investment talents. We are ambitious to build the business and plan to launch two further new funds this year. We are researching a number of opportunities at any one time, and that is a significant investment in the company’s future success.”
