Investcorp acquires cloud specialist

Global technology investor Investcorp Technology Partners, is to acquire a majority stake in NetRom Software (NetRom), a cloud-first, digital transformation and software engineering firm from the company’s founders, management team and previous investor IceLake Capital, who will all maintain a stake in the business.

Global technology investor Investcorp Technology Partners (ITP), is to acquire a majority stake in NetRom Software (NetRom), a cloud-first, digital transformation and software engineering firm from the company’s founders, management team and previous investor IceLake Capital, who will all maintain a stake in the business.

Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Headquartered in Utrecht, the Netherlands, NetRom provides software engineering solutions, development support and services to a portfolio of diversified and blue-chip customers in Western Europe and North America, including VodafoneZiggo, Transdev and LeasePlan.
  
ITP’s investment is expected to accelerate growth plans at NetRom, which currently has approximately 500 engineers across four offices in the Netherlands and Romania. 
 
The investment in NetRom represents the third investment from ITP’s global fund, Investcorp Technology Partners V following its investments in HWG (Cybersecurity) and Zift Solutions (Software).
