WH Equity Partners, a US private equity firm focused on growth investments and buyouts in the small and mid-cap sectors, has been launched by Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer Peter Weinbach and Senior Managing Director Grant Harshbarger.
Weinbach has previously served as Vice President at private equity firm APAX Partners; a General Partner, Managing Director and Investment Committee Member at investment banking firm AIG Horizon Partners; a Managing Director at family office Yankee Hill Capital; and Director in the information services group at ING Barings Furman Selz; and Vice President in the M&A group at Salomon Smith Barney (now Citigroup Global Markets).
Harshbarger previously served as a Managing Director at RBS Citizens, the US banking subsidiary of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group; a Managing Director at hedge fund firm Citadel; a Managing Director at equity research firm services provider Caris & Co; a Managing Director at investment bank HCFP Brenner/Southcoast Capital; and an Account Officer in the healthcare finance group at Chemical Bank (now JPMorgan).
The firm is actively pursuing new investments across technology, consumer goods, healthcare and special situations, the criteria for which are an EBITDA between $2m and $25m, a revenue of $10m to $500m and an enterprise value between $10m and $250m.
Both Weinbach and Harshbarger currently also serve as Managing Directors at New York-based investment banking boutique Bentley Associates.
