Iron Capital has appointed Dr Don Basile as managing director of its venture capital unit, Iron Capital Partners.
Iron Capital has appointed Dr Don Basile as managing director of its venture capital unit, Iron Capital Partners.

Most recently Dr Basile (pictured) was chief executive of Fusion-io. He brings more than 20 years of experience to Iron Capital Partners, having driven innovation at leading public and private companies in areas including data networking, cable, telecommunications, computing and semiconductors. Among his past accomplishments, Dr. Basile has been involved with the management, growth and sale of companies valued at more than USD2bn.
Dr Basile spent nearly four years as vice-president and managing director of Raza Foundries, a broadband networking and communications investment company. Prior to this, he held management positions at Remarq Communities, an Internet infrastructure provider; Netfish Technologies, a leader in XML ecommerce; and Lenfest Communications, a pioneer in the cable television industry.
