Saudi private equity firm Jadwa Investment is targeting a SAR400m (USD104 million) capital raise by year-end to expand its Middle East portfolio and position more companies for IPOs, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The report cites Managing Director of Private Equity Rabie Dagher as confirming that the yhe raise would bring total commitments to Jadwa’s flagship blind pool fund to SAR1.7bn, as the firm accelerates dealmaking amid sustained public market momentum in the Gulf.
Jadwa recently acquired a 55% stake in Saudi cosmetics retailer Makhazen Alenaya, with another deal involving a Saudi fleet management business expected to close in the coming weeks. The fund has already deployed SAR750m into companies including Gissah Perfumes and Blackspoon Group, a regional F&B operator.
With four portfolio companies expected to pursue IPOs in the next 18 months, Jadwa is doubling down on sectors showing resilience despite geopolitical uncertainty in the region.
The Riyadh-based firm remains one of the Kingdom’s most active alternative asset managers, overseeing $30bn in client assets.
