Securities and investment banking firm Jefferies has hired Magnus Christensson as a managing director and European head of the firm’s fund placement group based in London.
He joins Jefferies from Atlantic-Pacific Capital and has more than 12 years of private equity fundraising experience.
Steve Gray, global head of the fund placement group in Jefferies’ investment banking division, says: “We are delighted that Magnus is joining our global team. His experience, strong relationships and expertise in private equity, infrastructure and real estate will add immediate value to our clients globally.”
Christensson was previously a partner at Atlantic-Pacific Capital where he originated and raised capital for private equity, infrastructure and real estate funds across Europe and the US.
Prior to that, he was a principal at SevenPeaks Capital and in 2000 was a principal at NM Rothschild’s private equity business. Christensson was the co-founder of The Forefront Group, an advisory firm working with private equity investments and a strategy consultant with Indevo and Bain.
