Capitama, a global direct private investment platform for sophisticated and professional investors, has reported that its members have exceeded GBP10 billion in annual investment appetite. Analysis of the registered investors on Capitama, which includes circa 400 individuals, family offices, PE firms and investment offices, revealed that its members are willing to devote over GBP10 billion annually to private investment opportunities and philanthropy.   Private Equity is the most popular theme amongst the Capitama network, with investors willing to dedicate GBP7.2 billion annually to these opportunities. The management team of investment firm The RockCreek Group (RockCreek) is acquiring the 65 per cent of the firm currently owned by Wells Fargo, bringing management’s total ownership to 100 per cent.  This decision was made by senior management at both RockCreek and Wells Fargo and reflects their shared view that the transaction supports each firm’s strategic direction and the clients of RockCreek will be best served by a founder- and management-team-led ownership structure. Noerr has advised OSRAM on its acquisition of all shares in BAG electronics and the Philippine company BAG electronics Inc. The seller is the Trilux Group from Arnsberg, Germany. With this acquisition, OSRAM is strengthening its business with electronic components and its expertise in light control. BAG is a specialist in lamp ballasts, LED modules and software for innovative light solutions. In 2017, the company achieved revenues of around EUR50 million. London law firm Wedlake Bell LLP has advised Diversified Gas & Oil (DGO) on its conditional acquisition from EQT Corporation of approximately 11,250 additional producing wells located in the states of Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia for an agreed consideration of USD575 million, to be satisfied in cash. With a team headed by Frankfurt office partners Till Kosche and Thorsten Reinhard, Noerr has advised the international software manufacturer Micro Focus on the sale of its subsidiary SUSE. The buyer is the investor EQT Partners, which will be taking over the open source pioneer SUSE for USD2.5 billion via an investment vehicle.   The transaction is still subject to antitrust clearance and further closing conditions. Two entrepreneurs who are creating a new marketplace for online gamers have secured a GBP200,000 investment from the MEIF Proof of Concept & Early Stage Fund, which is managed by Mercia Fund Managers and part of the Midlands Engine Investment Fund. easyCoffee’s plan to roll out 800 vending machines nationally in the next year has been given a boost following a GBP10 million investment by Stellar Asset Management.
