Nordstjernan is investing in Ascilion, a Swedish medtech company founded in 2012 and based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Ascilion has developed and patented a technology that uses an array of hollow microneedles to extract the interstitial fluid (ISF) that surrounds the body’s cells and that is a good carrier of biomarkers.
In recent years, Nordstjernan has invested actively in the health sector, and the firm’s holdings in this sector currently account for nearly 25 per cent of net asset value.
The parties have agreed not to disclose the terms of the transaction.
Private investment firm Littlejohn & Co has acquired Magnate Worldwide (MWW), a diversified supply chain management company comprised of a strong portfolio of complementary, premier logistics services focused on premium freight services.
Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
MWW provides logistics services for sensitive, time-definite, high-value, and white-glove shipments across a range of industries including expedited domestic transportation, fine arts logistics, and global freight forwarding, with the highest levels of customer service. The Company operates through two premier logistics brands: Masterpiece International and TrumpCard.

Global professional services firm Huron has completed its acquisition of Perception Health Inc.
The combination of the companies strengthens Huron’s healthcare predictive analytics and data capabilities to help clients discover insights and detect patterns to optimise patient care and make better data-driven decisions.
For reporting purposes, Perception Health will be included in Huron’s Healthcare operating segment.
GovExec, an information services and insights company for government leaders and contractors, has acquired News Service of Florida, a provider of political and policy news.
The acquisition will see News Service of Florida become a part of GovExec’s City & State (CS) platform, which also operates in New York and Pennsylvania, and builds on GovExec’s highly strategic acquisitions the company has carried out over the last year to reinforce its commitment to actionable intelligence and decision support tools for government leaders and contractors.

Align Capital Partners (ACP) has closed the eighth strategic add-on for its utility market intelligence, data science and consulting platform, E Source, with the acquisition of AAC Utility Partners (AAC), a provider of vendor-independent customer information systems (CIS), programme management and consulting services to municipalities and utilities throughout North America.

Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based global investment firm, and Permira, a growth-focused global private equity firm, are to sell a majority of their respective stakes in Teraco Data Environments (Teraco) an African, carrier-neutral, data centre and interconnection services provider, to Digital Realty.
Both Berkshire Partners and the Permira funds, as well as existing investor van Rooyen Group, will retain minority equity interests in the Company. Teraco’s current management team, including Chief Executive Officer Jan Hnizdo, will continue to lead the Company and will remain significant investors in the business.
Alpine Investors (Alpine), a people-driven private equity firm, has sold its portfolio company, MidAmerica Administrative & Retirement Solutions (MidAmerica) to US Retirement & Benefits Partners (USRBP).

Savills Investment Management (Savills IM), an international real estate investment manager, has completed its strategic alliance with Samsung Life, a life insurer in Korea, and its real estate asset management subsidiary, Samsung SRA.
The partnership will allow Savills IM to grow existing products across real estate equity and debt, as well as paving the way for the launch of new strategies targeting asset classes including European Logistics and Living.
