Mooreland Partners, a provider of M&A and private capital advisory services to the global technology industry, has acted as the exclusive financial advisor to OptoFidelity, an automated test technology provider for smart devices, on its sale to Changyuan Group.
OptoFidelity Oy, based in Tampere, Finland, is a provider of innovative test and production solutions for mobile devices, sensors and electronics used in smart devices. The company is a supplier for a growing number of industry-leading consumer device OEMs.

NOW Money has closed its bridge funding round with a total of USD1.46 million in commitments.
In addition to a recent US Venture Capital investment, this funding round includes USD700,000 from Dubai-based Venture Capital firm, Myrisoph Capital. Other contributions have come from private investors and MENA-based women’s investor network WAIN.
Myrisoph Capital focuses on investments into SMEs that want expert advice and mentorship to take their business to the next level. It invests specifically within the team’s core skill-set and expertise, and in territories they know well, ensuring they can provide the best support possible.

OrbiMed, an investment firm focused on the healthcare sector, has closed its third Asia-focused private equity fund, OrbiMed Asia Partners III, LP, with approximately USD551 million in capital commitments.
Consistent with its predecessor funds, Asia Partners III will invest broadly across the Asian healthcare industry, with a focus on growth stage product- and services-oriented companies in China and India. The Fund will target investments from USD10 million to USD75 million per company across 15 to 20 opportunities. Where appropriate, Asia Partners III may co-invest with OrbiMed’s global team, enabling substantially larger investments and leveraging the full financial and strategic resources
StageOne Ventures, an early stage venture capital firm focusing on Israel-related technology startups, has closed ts third venture capital fund, with USD110 million in committed capital.

Albion Capital is seeking to raise up to GBP38 million through top up offers for its six venture capital trusts (VCTs).
The fundraising targets GBP8 million for Kings Arms Yard VCT and GBP6 million across each of Albion’s other VCTs. Investments spread across all six portfolios will receive a monthly dividend with a yield of approximately 5.6 per cent, or 8.0 per cent after tax relief, a potentially attractive income source in the current low interest rate environment.

Withinlink CEO Bessie Lee (pictured), has announced the launch of the firm’s second venture capital fund this year – a new USD30 million fund that is aiming to bring startups to China.

Private equity firm Activa Capital’s portfolio company Mecadaq, a provider of high precision manufacturing for the aerospace industry, has acquired Armoa, a specialist in high precision machining.
The acquisition takes place 18 months after the creation by Activa Capital of a consolidation platform in aerospace subcontracting. This is the second significant build-up for Mecadaq, which already generates revenues of EUR32 million in aeronautic subcontracting, primarily in the area of machining of aero structure parts for civil aircraft. Financed with bank debt and additional capital provided by Activa Capital and Mecadaq’s management, the acquisition will increase the group’s revenues to over
AMAL Therapeutics (AMAL), a Swiss biotech developing peptide-based therapeutic cancer vaccines, has completed the first tranche of its Series B financing round, raising EUR8 million (CHF8.8 million).
The Company will use the funds to progress its lead vaccine (ATP128) towards clinical studies and proof-of-concept in colorectal cancer. It will also further develop its proprietary therapeutic tumour vaccination technology platform called KISIMA.

McCarthy Denning has advised Rockpool Acquisitions (Rockpool) in relation to its admission to the Standard Listing segment of the main market of the London Stock Exchange and a related fundraising. Gross proceeds of GBP1,085,000 were raised through the fundraising.
Rockpool is a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (“SPAC”) founded in Northern Ireland and formed to undertake the acquisition of a business based there. Specifically, Rockpool is looking to acquire a highly ambitious, Northern Ireland-based company, with a valuation of up to GBP20 million, to provide that company with access to the deeper pools of capital that the public markets provide.
Shore Capital Partners platform company Argentum Medical has acquired the TheraBond family of products from Alliqua BioMedical (Alliqua).
These products, branded TheraBond with unique SilverTrak technology, include contact dressings, island dressings and wraps for burn care, surgical site care, and wound care.
