DA Davidson & Co has acted as exclusive financial advisor to private equity firm JW Hill Capital (JW Hill) on its purchase of GKN Aerospace Bandy Machining, a subsidiary of GKN Aerospace.
The transaction closed on 11 August, 2017 and represents another successful cross-border closing for DA Davidson’s investment banking group. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

Fitz Gate Ventures has raised USD10 million for its first fund. Founded in July 2016, Fitz Gate Ventures invests in startups in which a Princeton alum, faculty member or student is either a founder or member of the senior management team, and to date it has invested in five early stage companies.

Mountaingate Capital (Mountaingate), a Denver-based private equity firm, has closed its first fund (Fund I) at its hard cap with USD395 million in capital commitments.
Fund I closed above its target of USD300 million, was significantly oversubscribed and attracted a diverse investor base of leading institutional investors.

Blackstone is to acquire Harvest Fund Advisors (Harvest), an independent investment management firm with over USD10 billion in assets under management.
Harvest primarily invests capital raised from institutional investors in separately managed accounts and pooled vehicles, investing in public master limited partnerships (MLPs) holding US midstream energy assets. Terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

The Pracuj Group (Grupa Pracuj), a provider of Human Resources (HR) solutions that help companies recruit, retain, and develop employees in Central Europe, has secured a minority investment from TCV.
TCV provides growth equity capital for both private and public technology companies in the US, Europe, and internationally. The Pracuj Group intends to use the funding to fuel international expansion and expand its product suite. As part of the investment, John Doran and David Yuan, General Partners at TCV, will join the company’s supervisory board.
