SnapApp, provider of an SaaS platform used by B2B marketers to create, publish, and measure interactive content, has closed USD10.2 million in additional funding from its principal investor, Providence Strategic Growth, the growth equity affiliate of Providence Equity Partners.
The Series B round follows a period of sustained and rapid growth for SnapApp over the past two years as interactive marketing has increasingly become a must-have for modern marketers.

VentureMed Group (VMG), a medical device company developing and commercialising next-generation endovascular products to treat patients suffering from peripheral artery disease (PAD), has raised USD15 million in new equity financing.
The Series B Round was led by new investor Endeavour Vision, a technology and life science investor based in Geneva, Switzerland, and also included new investor RiverVest Venture Partners, a St Louis, MO, based venture capital firm dedicated to life science and healthcare investing.

Law firm Stroock’s FinTech group, led by partner Ian DiBernardo and special counsel Jeffrey Mann, has advised Instinet Holdings Incorporated in its acquisition of State Street’s BlockCross ATS, an alternative trading system (ATS).
The Stroock team also included associates Binni Shah and Adam Sapper. The transaction, which closed on August 10, 2017, is the third in a series of transactions Stroock has handled for Instinet. Terms were not disclosed.

Dragos Inc, an industrial control system (ICS) cybersecurity company made up of industry experts with the vision of securing global industrial infrastructure, has secured USD10 million in Series A venture capital funding from co-lead investors Energy Impact Partners (EIP) and Allegis Capital, with additional support from DataTribe, a cybersecurity startup studio that initially funded Dragos.
The Series A round will be used to increase the company’s workforce to meet rising customer demand, generated in part through key partnerships with Deloitte, the global audit and financial advisory services firm, and CrowdStrike Inc, a leader in cloud-delivered endpoint protection.

TPG Capital, the global private equity platform of alternative asset firm TPG, is to acquire Transplace, a provider of transportation management and other third-party logistics services.
TPG is partnering with company management to purchase Transplace from Greenbriar Equity Group (Greenbriar). The transaction is expected to close in September and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals. Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2000, Transplace is North America’s premier provider of managed transportation, supply chain consulting and transportation management systems (TMS) technology solutions, as well as other intermodal, truck brokerage, and cross-border trade services.
Southwest Foodservice Excellence (SFE), a provider of outsourced foodservices to K-12 public schools, has secured an investment led by Harkness Capital, a private equity firm focused on investments in leading service-oriented companies.
SFE was founded in 2005 by two industry veterans, Don Gala and Luis Benavides. The Company is a leading player in the rapidly growing K-12 outsourced foodservice sector. SFE serves 80+ million meals annually across 100+ school districts in 11 states. Noerr has advised the US-based AVX Corporation on the takeover of a business division from the UK electronics manufacturer TT Electronics. AVX is acquiring the firm’s automotive segment, the Transportation Sensing and Control (TS&C) division, for around USD155 million.
The strategic takeover will strengthen the manufacturer of electronics components listed on the New York Stock Exchange by adding the skills of a leading developer and producer of sensors and performance electronics for the car industry.
