IK Investment Partners’ IK VIII Fund has reached an agreement to acquire Granite Holding (Schock), a granite kitchen sink manufacturer, from HQ Equita. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.   The original inventor of the manufacturing technology commonly used in the production of granite sinks, more than 60 per cent of all quartz composite sinks manufactured worldwide are based on the production technique developed by Schock.   Based on a quartz-acryl composite developed by Schock, the company’s premium product is three times as hard as natural granite and superior in product performance to sinks made from other
UK venture capital investor Albion Ventures has completed the acquisition of OLIM from Close Brothers Group.  The acquisition was first announced on 27 September 2016, subject to regulatory approval.   OLIM is a fund manager specialising in UK quoted equities, with around GBP500 million of assets under management.   The completion of the acquisition further diversifies Albion’s investment management expertise into quoted equities and increases its assets under management and administration to over GBP950 million. 
SPLIO, a SaaS-based customer experience software company, has secured a EUR10 million fundraising supported by three funds – Digital Ambition Fund, BNP Paribas Développement and Amundi Private Equity Funds. Digital Ambition Fund is managed by Bpifrance under the Future Investment Program led by the Commissariat-General for investment (CGI).   Leveraging its relationship with over 500 customers in the retail and luxury goods sectors, SPLIO developed SPRING, the first cloud-based CEM platform dedicated to retailers.   In 2015, SPLIO generated a turnover of EUR16 million.   The goal of SPLIO’s new management team, put in place by the founders, will be
JMP Group, an investment banking and alternative asset management firm JMP Group, is partnering with investment bank with Bryan, Garnier & Co on the origination and execution of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic advisory mandates and public and private capital-raising transactions. Saratoga Partners has acquired the xenon cinema business from Philips Lighting, with debt financing provided by GC Andersen Partners Capital.  The business, to be named Lighting Technologies International (LTI), is a major manufacturer of xenon arc lamps for digital cinema projectors used in the worldwide cinema exhibition industry.    GC Andersen Partners, through its wholly-owned broker-dealer GC Andersen Partners Capital, acted as exclusive financial adviser and placement agent to Saratoga and raised the debt financing to complete the transaction.    Financing was provided by PNC Bank and Graycliff Partners.   LTI, based in Baldwin Park, California was established in 1999

Juniper Capital Advisors has held final close of its first institutionally-backed private equity fund, Juniper Capital II, at its hard cap of USD500 million. Plexus Capital, a provider of capital to small businesses in the US, has closed Plexus Fund IV at its fully subscribed offering of USD400 million. Smartrac, a portfolio company of private equity firm One Equity Partners (OEP), is to sell its Secure ID & Transactions business to the Linxens Group. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions.   OEP has helped support Smartrac to grow into the largest global player in its industry. Smartrac produces over 2.2 billion RFID transponders annually and offers one of the most comprehensive technology portfolios with more than 1,000 patents and patent applications. C5 Capital, a technology investment firm focusing on the cyber security, data and cloud computing sectors, has acquired ITC Secure Networking for GBP24 million. The acquisition marks the fund’s fourth investment following its investments in Metrasens, a UK based sensor company; Omada, a provider of identity and access management technology; and Balabit, a software company focusing on real-time user behaviour analytics for the identification of internal and external attackers.   ITC was established in 1995 by CEO Tom Millar and is headquartered in Docklands London.
