A team of Hogan Lovells lawyers has advised the senior executive management team of VocaLink on its sale to MasterCard for approximately GBP700 million (USD920 million). Hogan Lovells’ role involved advising VocaLink's senior management on their management incentive arrangements and their position and related matters, including warranties and disclosures. Under the agreement, a majority of VocaLink’s shareholders will retain 7.6 per cent ownership for at least three years.   Based in London, VocaLink operates key payments technology platforms on behalf of UK payment schemes, including: BACS – the Automated Clearing House (ACH) enabling direct credit and direct debit payments between
eSolidar, which launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs on 27 June, has already raised over 50 per cent of its GBP200,000 target and is currently the most successful live foreign campaign on Seedrs.  Portuguese venture capital firm Portugal Ventures has now committed a minimum of EUR50,000 to the company. eSolidar’s founder Marco Barbosa says he is confident of reaching the GBP200,000 target by the end of August.   eSolidar.com is a global giving marketplace, used by Elton John and Katy Perry among 100 other celebrities and brands, that allows people to shop, sell and donate to their favourite charitable causes.
Bretèche Industrie Group, a manufacturer of equipment for the international food and pharmaceutical industries, backed by Equistone Partners Europe and Cerea Capital since 2013, has acquired Shick, a US-based provider of ingredient automation systems. Founded in 1956 and located in Kansas City, Missouri, Shick is a family firm that specialises in automation solutions for the baking industry. Salveo Capital has re-launched Salveo Fund I with the addition of managing directors Michael Gruber and Jeffrey Howard and director of fund operations Achint Prabhat to the existing team of partners Alex Thiersch and John Dohm and director of communications Eric Atienza. Noerr has advised Oddo Seydler Bank on the restructuring of a EUR60 million bond of Singulus Technologies as part of a debt-equity swap which involved issuing new shares and bonds.
