Adarza BioSystems has closed a USD5 million Series B financing. Proceeds from the financing will be used to expand production capacity in its St Peters, MO manufacturing facility and launch its first immunoassay product consumable and instrument platform.
Proceeds will also be used to accelerate development of highly sensitive assays targeting a variety of biological analytes including cytokines, antigens and small molecules. Adarza’s Arrayed Imaging Reflectometry (AIR-StripTM) will bring an unprecedented combination of performance, workflow benefits with high sensitivity, broad dynamic range, precision, assay robustness to both life science and drug development researchers as well as clinical diagnostics practitioners.
Sverica Capital Management has held the final close of its fourth private equity fund, Sverica Capital Partners Fund IV LP, which exceeded its original target, was oversubscribed and closed at its hard cap of USD275 million.

AITV, a US-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage and medium-growth software companies, has made a follow-on investment in LiveAction's recent USD36 million Series B financing, alongside Insight Venture Partners and Cisco Investments.
As part of the investment, founding general partner, Bill Malloy, joins the LiveAction board as an observer, alongside already presiding board member and founding general partner, Brian Nugent. The funding proceeds will allow LiveAction to focus on expanding operations globally and accelerate feature product development, further establishing the company as the visibility software standard for the Forbes Global 2000.

Teralys Capital has held the final closing of the significantly oversubscribed USD375 million Teralys Capital Innovation Fund (the fund).

Coherent is to acquire Rofin for USD32.50 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately USD942 million.
The transaction is expected to close within six to nine months, subject to approval by Rofin stockholders, regulatory approvals in the US and other countries as well as other customary closing conditions.
