Technology infrastructure provider Six Degrees Group (6DG) has launched a GBP12 million organic investment programme to support the company’s business growth plans for 2016. The substantial additional capital investment comes six months after funds managed by Charlesbank Capital Partners acquired 6DG with the goal of building the UK’s largest mid-market managed services provider. With a commitment to recruit 50 people, 6DG will be building and developing its sales, marketing and customer service teams, amongst others, to service its growing customer and partner base. The GBP12m investment for growth is a purely organic play, designed to complement 6DG’s ongoing ambitious acquisition agenda.   
Zipnosis has raised a USD17 million Series A financing round led by Safeguard Scientifics with participation from Ascension Ventures, a subsidiary of Ascension, along with existing investors Fairview Health Services, Hyde Park Venture Partners, Arthur Ventures, Waterline Ventures and Omphalos Ventures.  Proceeds will be used to expand Zipnosis’ sales and marketing efforts and to accelerate product development. Ipes has entered into an agreement with KPMG to provide investors with certain services, including developing and marketing services to support investors throughout the lifecycle of the funds in which they invest.  As the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) expands into the Common Reporting Standard (CRS), the services will continue to grow to include client due diligence (CDD), investor relations and possibly some tax information reporting.  In 2014 Ipes worked with KPMG to build a FATCA service and all FATCA entity classifications that Ipes undertakes for their clients are verified by KPMG. Beechbrook Capital has held the first close of its inaugural UK SME Credit Fund, with commitments of more than GBP100m. The fund will support UK small and medium-sized businesses with a turnover of between GBP10 million and GBP100 million and EBITDA of more than GBP1 million.  Among the institutional investors that have made commitments to the new fund are British Business Bank Investments Limited, the commercial arm of the British Business Bank, and the European Investment Fund. Monomoy Capital Partners, a private equity firm focused on deep value investing and operational improvement in the lower middle market, has acquired Construction Resources, and Builder Specialties. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. The combination of the two businesses under the Construction Resources name creates a new specialty building products distributor for home builders in the Southeast. The company fabricates, distributes and installs countertops, appliances, hearth products, garage doors, glass and mirror products, flooring products, lighting products and cabinets. Construction Resources is now positioned as the largest ‘one-stop shop’ for specialty building products in the Southeastern US. The
US mid-market private equity firm Highlander Partners has soid ZREW Transformatory, its portfolio company in Central Europe, to R&S International Holding, a private equity owned Swiss producer of electrical products and systems for the power distribution and electrical infrastructure market.  ZREW complements the portfolio of the Swiss Rauscher & Stoecklin and the Czech SERW, both subsidiaries of R&S International Holding. All together they will form part of a leading European industry group.
