Legal & General Capital has invested in clean energy investment and asset management business, NTR Wind Management Ltd, a subsidiary of NTR, and committed to build an onshore wind portfolio through the first close of a fund targeting EUR250 million.
The fund will build up to 270MW in capacity, which could generate sufficient electricity to power up to 170,000 homes and avoid more than 300,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum across the UK and Ireland.

Wipro Ltd is to acquire Viteos Group, a BPaaS (Business Process as-a-Service) provider for the alternative investment management industry for USD130 million.
Wipro specialises in platform-led transformation and utility-based offerings in reconciliation, KYC, settlements, middle-office, asset servicing, syndicated loans and reference data solutions, with coverage across asset classes. These specialisations of Wipro are primarily on the sell-side of the industry and this acquisition will add similar capabilities on the buy-side.

Ridgewood Private Equity Partners (RPEP) has made an investment of approximately USD100 million in the Neptune Regional Transmission System (Neptune), a 65-mile submarine power transmission cable connecting New Jersey and Long Island.
Neptune has capacity of 660-Megawatt high-voltage direct-current that is fully contracted with the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) under a long-term agreement. Since initiating operation in mid-2007, Neptune has provided, on average, approximately 20 per cent of the electricity for Long Island.
