Milestone Pharmaceuticals Inc., a clinical stage cardiovascular company in Phase 2, has closed a USD17 million Series B financing.  The round was led by Domain Associates and included participation from all of Milestone's existing investors including Fonds de solidarité FTQ (FSTQ), Pappas Ventures, BDC Capital, GO Capital, and iNovia Capital. The funding will be used to complete Phase 2 clinical development of MSP-2017. In connection with this financing, Domain's Debra Liebert will join Milestone's board of directors. JTC has been selected to administer Amedeo Air Four Plus, an aircraft acquisition and leasing investment company, as part of its recent successful Listing on the Specialist Fund Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Amedeo Air Four Plus plans to acquire initial aircraft assets of approximately USD1.1 billion, increasing by up to an additional USD600 million by year-end 2015, with the scope to acquire further assets in the future. Nimrod Capital acted as the company’s Placing Agent and will be the long-term corporate and shareholder adviser. Kirin Media Ventures, a Los Angeles-based film finance and management company, has launched its inaugural USD25 million investment fund. The fund, with strong backing from Chinese investors, will invest in Hollywood motion picture projects. “We are excited to launch the fund with a focus on investing in independent films with commercial appeal and Studio distribution,” says Jeff Chao, Managing Partner, Kirin Media. “We want to recognize our strategic partner Leo Jianjun Zheng from the Shanghai AllBright Law Firm for helping us navigate the Chinese investment landscape. Belgian-Dutch investment company Waterland Private Equity Investments (Waterland) is providing growth capital to the Intelligent Group, a Belgian developer and provider of hosting services.  Intelligent was founded in 1999 by Jonas Dhaenens under the Combell brand and has grown to become the most important provider of hosting services in Belgium in recent years, with a strong presence in the Netherlands. The company is primarily known for its strong hosting brands Combell and Unitt. An affiliate of private equity investment firm HIG Capital (HIG) has acquired ATX Networks Corporation (ATX) a designer and developer of patented, radio frequency (RF) and digital video processing equipment used by cable operators and a growing number of private video networks, A/V integrators, and telecommunication companies.  Cable operators rely on the Company’s RF equipment to enable increased bandwidth to their subscribers, while ATX’s growing suite of non-RF products provides solutions for network operators to efficiently deliver video and data services to end users, including but not limited to transcoding and encoding, bulk video transition gateways, and content streaming products.

OMERS Private Equity (OPE), the private equity investment arm of the OMERS pension plan, is to acquire Environmental Resources Management (ERM) from Charterhouse Capital Partners for an enterprise value of USD1.7 billion.  The Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) will co-invest in the transaction.
