Rockaway Capital, a VC firm focused on investing and building Internet companies in emerging markets, has entered the US market with the opening of its first office in San Francisco's SOMA district.
The firm has invested USD28 million in seed stage, high growth, transformational start-ups across e-commerce, B2B SaaS, Fintech, and travel/transportation and has additional access to USD225 million in funding. Initial offices were in Prague and Sao Paolo.

Stockholm-based Arctos Corporate Finance (Arctos) is becoming part of Livingstone, an international mid-market M&A and Debt Advisory firm with offices in North America, Asia and Europe.
Arctos becomes part of Livingstone with immediate effect. The newly-named Livingstone Stockholm is a fully integrated part of the firm’s international infrastructure and joins established teams in Beijing, Chicago, Düsseldorf, London and Madrid. The marriage of the two firms creates a 100-strong organisation completing over 50 mid-market transactions each year.
Livingstone has worked closely on transactions with Partners Thomas Karlsson, Kenneth Westlund and Anders Jacobson, and co-founder Bertil Karlsson, for over 10 years.

Investment strategies for listed funds have widened in scope in the past 12 to 18 months, according to Tom Attenborough, Head of Large Caps, Primary Markets at the London Stock Exchange (LSE).

Latest figures released on Jersey’s finance industry show a steady performance including a small increase in banking deposits and signs that a change to fund regulation will support certain types of new funds business.
Banking deposits have reached their highest level since last summer and while there was a small fall in the value of funds, this has followed a period of consistent growth each quarter, so overall the economic picture is very stable. Kurma Partners (Kurma) has teamed up with Insitut Pasteur to launch its third fund Kurma Diagnostics (KDx), a venture capital fund Venture Capital fund dedicated to financing early-stage European innovative Diagnostic projects and companies.

Aquila Capital has purchased a portfolio of six photovoltaic parks in France. The plants, which have a combined installed capacity of 57 MWp, are located in the Aquitaine region near Bordeaux and are connected to the grid.
