Blue Motor Finance (Blue), a financing company for used cars in the UK, has successfully completed a syndication of part of its existing GBP300 million forward flow transaction to Standard Chartered Bank (Standard Chartered) and funds managed by Schroders Capital.  This is the first transaction Blue has undertaken with Standard Chartered and Schroders Capital managed funds and continues Blue’s desire to both diversify and extend partnerships across its funding platform. Vauban, a platform that provides venture capital fund managers with everything they need to raise a fund and invest capital quickly, has closed a GBP4.7 million funding round.  Investors include co-leads Pentech and Outward, in addition to 7 per cent Ventures and MJ Hudson. A roster of high profile angel investors have also participated; this includes the CEO of Nested, Matt Robinson; the founder of Grabayo, Will Neale; the founder and CEO of ComplyAdvantage, Charles Delingpole; Partner at Augmentum Fintech Perry Blacher; and Al Giles, from legal services provider Axiom. LBO France has acquired a majority stake in the French companies ID Market and Sourcidys, alongside their long-standing shareholder/managers Emmanuel Antunes, Guillaume Besnier and Olivier Roor. For 15 years now, Emmanuel Antunes, Guillaume Besnier and Oliver Roor, founding managers, have created and developed ID Market and Sourcidys, two companies that are now French leaders in the design and online sale of home & garden products. NOS 5G Fund, created by NOS and managed by Armilar Venture Partners, and Triple Point Ventures, have co-invested EUR4.4 million in digital health start-up knok.  The investment round also includes participation from previous investors, the Social Innovation Fund and Social and Environmental Impact Fund MSM (Mustard Seed MAZE). Ecobank Group, a pan-African banking group, has signed an agreement for a EUR100 million long-term credit facility over nine years with the European Investment Bank (EIB). The facility affirms joint Ecobank Group and EIB targeted support for business investment across Africa, with particular support for the sectors most impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Finnish startup Digital Nature has raised EUR1.5 million in seed funding to create new growth and attraction opportunities for shopping centres and other public venues.  The round was led by renowned business angels, including Mikko Kodisoja and Visa Forsten, co-founders of Finnish decacorn Supercell. The funding will go towards developing their technology and building their first on-sight attraction in one of the most prestigious shopping centres in Helsinki, Finland, with the world-famous Moomin characters as the theme. Surge Private Equity (Surge) has acquired Optim Dental and Vogue Dental (Optim Dental) via its healthcare platform Access Dental Management (Access Dental).  With a reported transaction value of approximately USD10 million, the deal closed with debt financing provided by Corbel Capital Partners (Corbel).
