Dent Reality, the London-based start-up behind a pioneering AR platform, has raised GBP2.5 million (USD3.4 million) in funding to expand its work across the retail sector. The funding round was led by Europe’s most active proptech VC, Pi Labs, with participation from Silicon Valley-based commerce experts Sugar Capital and deep tech specialists 7Percent Ventures – one of the first backers of Oculus VR – alongside several notable angel investors. Dallas Venture Capital (DVC), a Dallas-based venture capital firm focused on early and growth stage companies in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, mobile, XR and other emerging technologies, has made a follow-on investment in CoreStack’s USD30 million Series B financing round.  Dallas Venture Capital had earlier led the USD8.5 million Series A financing round in March 2020. CenterGate Capital (CenterGate), an Austin-based private equity investment firm, has sold one of its portfolio companies, TSC Apparel (TSC), to S&S Activewear (S&S).
Hybrid cloud and IT managed services provider, Celerity, has secured a GBP15 million investment from UK growth capital investor, BGF. Preston-headquartered Celerity is a fast-growing provider of high value, complex hybrid cloud and IT managed services. The business leads organisations through digital transformation and modernisation to deliver greater efficiency in management and optimisation of critical enterprise infrastructure. Its services include cyber security, data recovery and data visualisation.   BGF’s funding will allow Management, led by founder Chris Roche (CEO) and Craig Aston (COO) to continue scaling their managed service proposition, which is delivered alongside Celerity’s proprietary IP.   Roche says:

MarkLogic Corporation, a specialist in complex data integration and a portfolio company of Vector Capital, has acquired Smartlogic, a metadata management solutions provider and specialist in semantic AI technology.  As part of the transaction, Smartlogic’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, Jeremy Bentley, as well as other members of the senior management team, will join the MarkLogic executive team. Luma Health, a patient engagement platform, has raised USD130 million in a Series C funding round led by FTV Capital, a sector-focused growth equity investment firm, with participation from existing investors.  This latest round brings Luma Health’s total funding raised to USD160 million.  The announcement follows 2x growth year over year since Luma Health’s founding in 2015 and nearly 900 per cent three-year growth, garnering recognition as one of the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
