Private equity firm BlackFin has acquired GP3 and Decalog, two software solutions providers dedicated to the asset management and asset servicing industry, from SunGard.
GP3 is a fund accounting, valuation and reporting software, while Decalog is a middle-office, front-office and compliance software.
BlackFin is combing the two companies to create new entity, which will be known as NeoXam.
Overall, NeoXam will employ circa 250 people, of whom circa 150 are in Western Europe, and will generate consolidated revenues of around USD50m making it one of the largest European providers of software solutions dedicated to the asset management industry.
Advanced Accelerator Applications, a specialist in molecular nuclear medicine (MNM), has completed a capital increase of EUR41m.
The capital increase will help fund expansion plans and finance clinical trials of its portfolio of MNM diagnostic and therapeutic products.
The fundraising came from existing and new shareholders, including private investors and funds such as a company of the Tamburi Investment Partners Group and the specialist biotech and pharma investment company HBM Healthcare Investments who led the investment with EUR20m.

Private equity firm GTCR has acquired Callcredit Information Group in partnership with the company’s management team.
Callcredit is a provider of consumer credit data solutions and software and analytics services in the UK.
GTCR is partnering with CEO John McAndrew, managing director Graham Lund, and the rest of Callcredit’s existing management team to invest behind the technology-enabled business.
Founded in 2000 within Skipton Building Society, Callcredit is a credit reference and marketing services provider for over 3,000 customers, including the UK’s largest financial institutions and organisations in the alternative lending, insurance, telecom, utilities and public sectors, among others.
MPM Capital and Atlas Venture’s portfolio company CoStim Pharmaceuticals has been acquired by Novartis for an undisclosed amount.
CoStim, founded in 2012 by MPM managing director Luke Evnin together with MPM managing director-operations Robert Millman, is an emerging immuno-oncology company developing monoclonal antibody drugs that enable a patient's own immune system to better fight cancer.

A company backed by European private equity firm Permira has completed the acquisition of more than USD200m of the outstanding equity of LegalZoom, a provider of online legal document preparation services.
The Permira funds are now LegalZoom’s largest shareholder and will appoint a majority of the company’s board of directors.
LegalZoom’s management team and Institutional Venture Partners have maintained the vast majority of their ownership stakes in the company, while Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has maintained its entire stake. Polaris Venture Partners maintained a portion of its ownership in the company.
Omnes Capital has sold its stake in the Melkonian Group, a provider of mining and underground works equipment, to the founding family as well as Bpifrance, Amundi PEF and Sofipaca.
Based in Aix-en-Provence (Bouches-du-Rhône), the Melkonian Group is a family-owned company that designs, manufactures and sells equipment and spare parts for extracting and transporting minerals in the hard rock underground mining segment. Its offer includes the sale and construction of new or reconditioned equipment and the supply of spare parts and accessories.

An affiliated investment fund of financial services private equity firm Lightyear Capital is to sell Antares Holdings, a specialist insurer and reinsurer operating in the Lloyd’s market, to Qatar Insurance Company SAQ.
Through Antares Syndicate 1274 the company underwrites a worldwide diversified range of property, casualty, marine and aviation insurance and reinsurance business through Lloyd’s, the world’s largest insurance marketplace.

Based in British Columbia, Canadian Process & Control designs, manufactures, and installs customised process control systems for the resource, refining, chemical, wastewater treatment, and manufacturing industries.

Alternative asset manager The Carlyle Group has named Jackie Roberts as chief sustainability officer, a newly created position.
Roberts comes to Carlyle from the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF), where she was a senior director of the Idea Bank for the US Climate and Energy Program.
Roberts begins her duties in mid-February and will be based in Washington, DC.
Roberts will lead Carlyle’s global environmental, social and governance efforts (ESG) and work closely with its portfolio companies to drive understanding and adoption of ESG principles.
