Terra Global Investment Management has secured approval for up to USD40 million of financing for the world’s first globally diverse community-based REDD and land-use carbon fund. The Terra Bella Fund’s investment strategy is to provide project finance capital to community-based forest and land-use carbon projects in developing countries.
This approval for financing is provided by OPIC, as an anchor investment to an expected final fund size of USD100 million.

Atlantic-Pacific Capital has announced the final closing of Energy Investors Funds (EIF) US Power Fund IV (the Fund) with over USD1.7 billion of capital commitments.

Monomoy Capital Partners, a New York private equity fund focused on value investment and business improvement in middle market businesses, has acquired Oneida Ltd (Oneida), a supplier of flatware and dinnerware to the foodservice market. The acquisition marks the first transaction for the Monomoy Capital Partners II, LP, Monomoy’s second fund vehicle. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1880, Oneida designs, sources, markets and distributes flatware and dinnerware in the consumer and foodservice industries throughout the world. The Company’s markets include North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. Oneida’s full product line includes
Private equity firms The Riverside Company and Halder have acquired KEYMILE-Group. The transaction is the 21st acquisition for Riverside in 2011, and its third investment in Germany this year.
Former investor HANNOVER Finanz Group, as well as former CEO Dr-Ing Ziaedin Chahabadi, sold their stakes to the private equity firms. Riverside is the new majority shareholder, Halder holds a substantial share and KEYMILE management have increased its previous shareholdings.

Traffix Systems, a leading provider of signalling technology that helps 4G networks run better and more efficiently, has secured USD7 million in financing in a round led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The funds will be used to expand Traffix’s market penetration with telecom carriers around the world as more of them roll out 4G networks that require next-generation, network signalling solutions to handle increased data traffic.

Masabi, the developer of mobile phone ticketing technology, has completed a USD4 million Series B funding round with m8 Capital, the mobile technology venture capital fund.
The funding will be used to support deployments with multiple rail companies in the UK, and for the development of new service features, including NFC technology. It will also help facilitate expansion into new markets, particularly the US, where the company is seeing strong interest.

Global private equity firm Trilantic Capital Partners has partnered with management to acquire Implus Corporation.
Led by an experienced senior management team, Implus designs, markets and distributes branded consumer accessories, including insoles, shoe care products, socks, sports monitors, seasonal items and fitness products. The company supplies its products to specialty retailers and mass market chains in 70 countries across the US, Europe and Asia.
In the transaction, Trilantic will partner with founding family member and CEO Seth Richards and President Todd Vore to provide capital to allow the company to execute on its key growth initiatives.

Freeport, a Carlyle Europe Real Estate portfolio company and a developer and operator of outlet malls in Europe, has completed its successful refinancing with new investment provided by a sovereign wealth fund from the Middle East.
Following the refinancing, it has also created a new entity for Freeport’s property management team, Freeport Retail, to provide specialist outsourced asset management services and is actively working with real estate investors across Europe.
