Blockchain development platform Moralis has raised USD13.4 million in a seed funding round, led by EQT Ventures.  The funding will be used for hiring and continued product development, enabling developers to build enterprise-scale blockchain applications rapidly, cutting cost and complexity. Sphere Fluidics, a company that has developed and is commercialising single cell analysis systems underpinned by its proprietary picodroplet technology, announced today that it has closed a USD40 million (circa GBP30 million) investment round.  The round was led by Sofinnova Partners (Paris, France) and Redmile Group (San Francisco, USA) co-investing on equal terms.   Sphere Fluidics will use the funding to enable the expansion of the Company’s international sales activities in key markets and improving its support for customers. Furthermore, it will expand its product research and development programs, including novel applications for its proprietary Cyto-Mine Single Cell Analysis System.
Pan Cancer T, a biotech spin-off from the Erasmus MC dedicated to the discovery and development of novel TCR-T therapies against solid tumours, has closed an extended seed investment round.  All current shareholders participated in the round, with Thuja Capital joining as a new investor. The undisclosed proceeds add to the initial seed capital financing announced earlier this year. The round was led by Innovation Industries, with participation from Deeptech Labs, an accelerator initiated by Arm and The University of Cambridge, among others. 3i Group (3i) has agreed the sale of its investment in Magnitude Software, a provider of data management software solutions, with offices in the US, the Netherlands, UK, Canada and India, to insightsoftware, Inc.  Proceeds to 3i are estimated to be cGBP344 million/USD477 million, which represents a c100 per cent uplift on its 30 June 2021 valuation.
