Click Therapeutics (Click), a specialist in Digital Therapeutics as prescription medical treatments, has closed a USD52 million upsized Series B financing. The financing round was co-led by new investors HIG BioHealth Partners (HIG BioHealth) and Accelmed Partners II (Accelmed). Citcon, a mobile wallet payment provider enabling global commerce at scale, has received USD30 million in Series C financing led by Norwest Venture Partners and Cota Capital. Sierra Ventures and Sonae IM also joined the round. MFS Africa, a pan-African digital payments platform, is to acquire Capricorn Digital, owner of Baxi, one of Nigeria’s leading super-agent networks. A team from Akin Gump advised the sellers on the transaction. JTC has supported the GBP125 million launch of Disruptive Capital Acquisition Company Limited (Disruptive), a Guernsey registered Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) on the Euronext exchange in Amsterdam. JTC will provide administration and registry services for the new vehicle. The listing of Disruptive creates a structure aimed at acquiring another company within the financial services sector throughout Western Europe and/or Northern Europe, though the potential target has not been publicly identified.
