Quantela, a specialist in IoT-enabled smart cities and urban infrastructure digitalisation, has closed approximately USD40 million in growth capital for new Outcomes-as-a-Service projects and acquisitions from Digital Alpha, a leading digital infrastructure investment firm.
CEMEX Ventures, a corporate venture capital and open innovation unit of CEMEX, has made a follow-on investment in Modulous, a UK-based company that exploits technology in a bid to modernise the design and construction of affordable housing, making the process more efficient, scalable, and relying on a strong network of supply chain partners. 
Browne Jacobson’s Corporate finance team has advised Connect Managed Services (UK) Limited (Connect), on its acquisition of customer care solution provider, Service CX Limited for an undisclosed sum. Service CX Limited, which is located in Windsor, specialises in market-leading integrated technologies and services such as Calabrio WEM, ServiceNow CSM and Five9 cloud contact centre. Connect which is headquartered in London, launched in July 2019, following a merger of Connect Managed Services and G3 Comms. YFM Equity Partners (YFM) is continuing to support the growth of innovative Scottish software business Traveltek with a GBP1.3 million investment from funds managed by YFM and co-investor FTI LLP.  Over the last 20 years, Traveltek has developed technology which enables leisure travel companies to package together an extensive range of hotels, flights, cruises and ancillary travel services in one seamless transaction. Private equity house YFM has supported the business since 2016 when it made its first investment of GBP5.3 million, allowing the business to become one of the most advanced travel booking engines in the market.
