NeXtWind, a green independent power producer (IPP) focused on the repowering and lifetime extension of European clean energy assets, has made three strategic investments in wind energy projects in Northern Germany, totalling over USD50 million.
The acquisitions were made in the first six months after the company’s debut fundraising round, where it secured USD100 million from institutional backers and family offices.

International private equity firm, Cinven, has signed an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Arcaplanet, a pet care retail chain in Italy, from funds advised by Permira and Winch Capital Partners.
As part of the transaction, Cinven and Arcaplanet will jointly acquire Maxi Zoo Italia, the third largest pet care operator in the Italian market, and a subsidiary of Fressnapf Group. The combination of Arcaplanet and Maxi Zoo Italia (together ‘the Arcaplanet Group’) creates one of the leading pet care platforms in Italy, selling food and non-food products in c500 stores across Italy and online.

Leta Capital (Leta) has launched its third and largest fund to date, which will invest in excess of USD100 million in UK, European and US-based growth stage software and technology companies over the next three years.
The new fund will have a particular focus on supporting East European and Russian-speaking entrepreneurs operating out of international hubs such as London and New York, who Leta founder and IT entrepreneur, Alexander Chachava, maintains remain over-looked and under-valued by many VCs and investors.

Recycle Track Systems, Inc (RTS), a specialist in the waste and recycling management industry, has closed its Series C round of financing. Citi Impact Fund led the USD35 million investment round as part of its commitment to investing in American companies applying innovative solutions to help address some of society’s most pressing challenges. The funding will be used to support RTS’s efforts to redefine materials management and develop zero-waste programs for a more sustainable future.

Chainalysis, the blockchain data platform, has secured a USD100 million Series E financing led by Coatue, bringing its valuation to USD4.2 billion. Previous investors Benchmark, Accel, Addition, Dragoneer, Durable Capital Partners, and 9Yards Capital increased their investment in the company, and Altimeter, Blackstone, GIC, Pictet, Sequoia Heritage, and SVB Capital also participated.

xCures Inc, a specialist in the patient-centric use of artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive modelling, has raised USD12.69 million in a Series A funding round led by Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund and joined by Vanedge Capital, Harmonix Fund, Metaplanet, as well as other investors.
The funding will be used to accelerate adoption and further development of xCures’ AI-Powered platform for precision oncology decision making.
