Frazier Healthcare Partners has closed Frazier Healthcare Growth Buyout Fund X, its 10th healthcare private equity fund focused on the middle market, a vehicle which was oversubscribed and hit its USD1.4 billion hardcap.  The capital came in from new as well as existing limited partners, including public pension funds, financial institutions, foundations and endowments, family offices, corporate pensions and sovereign wealth funds from investors based in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.    “Our three decades of focusing on the healthcare industry, breadth and depth of our ecosystem and team resonated with both new and existing investors,” comments Ben Magnano,

Financial services provider iBanFirst, which delivers solutions across banking borders, has secured a growth equity investment to fund product development, international expansion and M&A, from global private equity firm Marlin, which became the fintech’s largest shareholder as a result, replacing existing business angels and some of the company’s early backers. Varagon Capital Partners (Varagon) is serving as Administrative Agent, Joint Lead Arranger, Joint Bookrunner and Syndication Agent on a senior secured credit facility to support the acquisition of JTM Foods, LLC (JTM) by Tenex Capital Management (Tenex). Headquartered in Erie, PA, JTM Foods, LLC, has been producing premium quality snack pies and other sweet treats since 1985.  The Company produces JJ’s Bakery branded, co-manufactured, and private label sweet baked goods such as fruit filled snack pies, mini pies, and crispy rice treats. 
MediSpend, a global technology company providing solutions for the life sciences industry, has secured a majority investment from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE), an entrepreneur-centric growth equity firm exclusively focused on software and information services companies.  SGE’s prior investments across the broader healthcare vertical include Evive, HMP Global, iContracts, MMIT, ProviderTrust and RLDatix. The Riverside Company, a global private investor focused on the smaller end of the middle market, has signed a definitive agreement to sell Greenphire, a specialist in financial lifecycle management software for clinical trials, to Thoma Bravo, a software focused private equity firm.  The pending transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of this year, subject to the satisfaction of regulatory approval and customary closing conditions.
