Growth Catalyst Partners (GCP), a Chicago and Connecticut based private equity firm focused on high growth middle market companies in the marketing, information, and tech-enabled services sectors, has closed it debut fund GCP Fund I at USD130 million. GCP did not use a placement agent and secured commitments from a diversified set of institutional investors, family offices and over 25 senior executives from the target investment sectors. Reckitt Benckiser’s venture arm RB Ventures has backed laundry and dry-cleaning startup Oxwash, which provides laundry services to the Oxford University coronavirus vaccine trial. RB Ventures is partnering with early-stage start-ups who share its ‘fight for access’, with Oxwash being one of its first investments. Founded in 2017 by former NASA scientist Kyle Grant, Oxwash is using technology and methods that are aiming towards net zero carbon emissions. YFM Equity Partners (YFM) has boosted its growing portfolio of high-growth technology businesses with an investment into marketing automation platform, Force24. Force24 is a cloud-based marketing automation platform that allows an in-house marketing manager to deliver personalised marketing campaigns with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integration. The platform is already trusted by a number of  household brands including Michelin, Tarmac and BBC Children in Need, to deliver over 900 million marketing emails so far this year, and the business saw turnover leap by 40 per cent from 2018 to 2019, with revenues expected to reach over GBP3.5 million this year despite

European private equity firm PAI Partjers has acquired a majority stake in Euro Ethnic Foods (EEF), the company which owns and operates the grocery section of leading food retailer Grand Frais. PAI will hold a 60 per cent stake in EEF with the company’s founders Léo & Patrick Bahadourian continuing to own the remaining 40 per cent of the business. Novalis Biotech, an early stage venture capital investor in healthcare, technologies has held the first closing of its second fund, Novalis Biotech Acceleration, raising an initial EUR8 million.  With commitments for a similar amount already in place, Novalis anticipates a final closing in early 2021. The investment provides a financial platform for the company’s future growth. CBPE Capital LLP (CBPE) has held the final close of its latest fund, CBPE Capital Fund X at its hard cap of GBP561 million, surpassing its target of GBP525 million.
