London-based VGC Partners is launching its GBP1 million Technology Seed Fund IV, headed by Parminder Basran, which looks to invest in early stage, tech companies which are addressing corporate innovation challenges. The UK is home to a growing number of developers, solution providers, agencies and manufacturers that are building their business around voice technology. Epidarex Capital (Epidarex), a transatlantic life science venture firm, has closed Epidarex Capital III UK LP at GBP102.1 million.  The Fund will build new life science companies based on world-class research and innovation from emerging hubs across the UK, including spinouts from highly regarded universities. Typical initial investments will range from GBP2 million to GBP5 million. Earth Capital has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sany Group (Sany), a global heavy equipment manufacturer, to progress and deliver advanced green technology manufacturing projects in China. Independent fund and corporate services provider, the Aztec Group, has been selected by Ardian to administer its eighth-generation secondaries platform, ASF VIII, which Ardian says is the world’s largest. Headquartered in Paris, Ardian is a global private investment firm with USD96 billion in AUM. The firm’s Fund of Funds platform, which covers both primary and secondary fund of funds, now has USD53 billion in AUM, with an exposure to more than 10,000 portfolio companies through 1,600 underlying funds. Nordic lower mid-market growth and buyout group Priveq, which invests in companies within the consumer, healthcare, IT and software sectors, has closed its sixth fund on SEK 2.5 billion. The fund’s investors include existing and new Nordic, European and North American investors, including public and private pension funds, insurance companies, charitable foundations, endowments, public institutions, family offices and fund-of-funds. MayStreet has closed a Series A financing round led by Credit Suisse Asset Management’s NEXT Investors, a Fintech growth equity group that invests in high-growth private businesses that interact with the financial services industry. Visionable, a video collaboration platform designed especially for healthcare teams’ advanced clinical needs, has raised GBP6 million in an oversubscribed Series A1 funding round.  The private placement, completed within 24 hours, was led by West Hill Capital.                                         To meet unprecedented demand, Visionable is rapidly upscaling its operations by building up its team to be 60 strong by the end of June, from 14 employees in May 2019, accelerating technology research and development, and in international expansion. UK-based alternative asset manager Bridgepoint has agreed to acquire EQT Credit in a deal that will resulting in a total AuM of close to EUR7 billion for the combined group. According to Bridgepoint managing partner William Jackson, this transaction – which is scheduled to complete in the fourth quarter of 2020 – moves the firm’s credit strategy “significantly forward”. It also provides further diversification for the Bridgepoint Group. “This is in line with our strategic objective of offering a broader range of compelling middle market focused alternative asset investment strategies,” said Jackson. “It will also broaden Bridgepoint Credit’s geographic exposure
Private investment firm Inverness Graham Investments has acquired Catheter & Medical Design (CMD).  Based in Roseville, MN, CMD develops and manufactures complex catheters and catheter shafts for a broad range of interventional and endosurgical applications. This is the third Inverness platform investment in the medical device outsourcing market, following Inverness’ successful ownership of ExtruMed and AdvancedCath Technologies. “We are excited to invest in another medical device outsourced manufacturing business and believe CMD is a highly attractive platform, offering a compelling value proposition to its global, blue-chip customer base,” says Aliya Khaydarova, Managing Principal of Inverness Graham. “As medical device companies continue to outsource
